Explore the changing moods of the Blue Mountains in the late afternoon sunlight and capture the sunset over the rugged ranges and valleys. This tour is designed to avoid the peak hour traffic of Sydney with later departures and returns to maximise our time enjoying the stunning scenery and native forests. 

With a late morning departure, you will have extra time to explore Sydney before joining this tour to one of the world's most spectacular World Heritage-listed national parks. Located 50 kilometres from Sydney CBD, the Blue Mountains is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna and is rich in Aboriginal heritage. A rugged mountain range of unique sandstone formations and steep cliffs, the Blue Mountains is known for its dramatic landscape. Surrounded by giant eucalyptus trees which creates a blue haze that lives up to its name. 

After a delightful picnic lunch, we'll continue to explore the amazing Jamison Valley. Get up close to the storied sandstone formation, the iconic Three Sisters. Hike along some impressive bush trails toward one of the most breathtaking waterfalls in New South Wales then settle in to watch the sun sink behind the distant mountains casting shadows over the rock formations and eucalyptus forests. On the journey home, take a quick break to grab some dinner (own expense) before we go kangaroo spotting! Many of Australia's native animals are much more active in the dusk hours and we'll explore some of the secret spots where we are most likely to find wildlife.<br /><br />Join us as we visit one of the most spectacular World Heritage-listed National Parks in the Blue Mountains Sunset Tour Sydney. Spanning across thousands of hectares of wilderness rainforest, canyons, sandstone escarpments and towering eucalyptus trees that creates a haze of blue vapour under the harsh Australian sun. You will be amazed and enlightened as your guide introduces you to native flora and fauna and the Aboriginal stories from the region.

After a long bushwalk enjoy a relaxing lunch (included) before making our way to view the incredible Jamison Valley and the iconic Three Sisters. Enjoy the sun setting over this serene vista, and then have your camera ready for our Australian Wildlife that begins to show itself at dusk. Relax as we return to the city with memories of a lifetime.

Our first stop en-route to the Blue Mountains is Euroka Campgrounds for our picnic lunch. Enjoy Gourmet Sandwichs with cured meats freshly sourced from Con’s Continental Deli in Glenbrook. After lunch, your tour guide will show you how to get close to wild Eastern Grey Kangaroos grazing on the lush vegetation.

Enjoy an eco-guided walk with fabulous lookout points and surrounds whilst learning of the significance of this area for the indigenous people. A medium level of fitness is required to be able to walk along undulating trails.

Breath in the fresh air walking along the National Pass and wonder at the dramatic landscape which shapes Wentworth Falls. Explore every vantage point of the world-famous Three Sisters formation. Witness the incredible views over the Jamison Valley escarpment. Katoomba, a major town in the area, borders Blue Mountains National Park and its bushwalking trails. Visit Echo Point and many other famous lookouts watching the sunset over the Blue Mountains.

Sunscreen, Water Bottle, Hat, Sunglasses, All-weather clothing, Camera, Comfortable walking shoes, Money for snacks and meals and a small day bag 5-7kg.

Conditions:
Child rates apply for 6-12 years. This tour is not suitable for infants or children 5 years and under. A moderate level of fitness is required to complete the walks. In the event of rain or inclement weather, your experience will still go ahead, unless contacted by the
provider. Tour must be re-confirmed with the operator within 7 days prior to departure on 03 9393 1333. Please notify the tour operator of any dietary requirements or medical conditions prior to departure. The tour departs daily October to March and Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday, April to September. Tour does not operate 25th December 2020 and 2021 and 1st January 2021 and 2022.

For your safety, we have implemented comprehensive hygiene measures and increased regular sanitation. Hand sanitiser and disposable face masks will be provided onboard our vehicles.
