This 3-Hour Wilderness Cruise is an unforgettable way to experience Tasmania's southern coast. On this tour, you will get to experience Bruny Island’s rugged coastline and natural wildlife as you sail along the Tasman Sea. The cruise will take you to some of Australia's highest cliffs and deepest sea caves. Along the way, look out for seals, dolphins, migrating whales and sea birds.
You will be riding on a safe and comfortable custom-built yellow boat equipped for up to 43 guests. The seating is open-air, meaning you will get to experience the fresh sea breeze on your face and an excellent view of the sites and you will pass. If you want an up-close look at all the natural scenery Bruny Island has to offer, this is the tour for you!
Getting There
The 3-Hour Cruise departs from Adventure Bay on Bruny Island at 11.00am. Guests are advised to arrive to the bay by 10:30am for check-in (or earlier in peak times).
To get to Adventure Bay from Hobart, guests will need to drive 45 minutes south to the Bruny Island Ferry Terminal in Kettering. In order to arrive at Adventure Bay by 11:00 am, you will need to catch either the 7:45am or 9:30am ferry. Again, it is advised that you arrive at least 30 minutes before departure.
The ferry ride to Bruny Island will take 20 minutes. Once there, drive about 40 minutes south to Adventure Bay at 1005 Adventure Bay Road.
Morning Tea & Lunch
Food is not included in the tour price, but morning tea and lunch can be purchased on the day if desired. Morning tea includes a freshly-baked blueberry muffin and a hot drink. Lunch is homemade pumpkin soup and a gourmet salad roll with your choice of Tasmanian Atlantic Salmon or local ham. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available on request.
The cruise can get cold, so make sure you bring warm clothing. Jackets, scarves, beanies and gloves are recommended. We also advise you to bring a camera!
