What to Expect

Tsumami-zaiku is a traditional technique from Edo Era (1603-1868) where one makes flower ornaments by assembling small pieces of cloth by hand. It's often used as a hair accessory. On this tour, you will learn how to make Tsumami-zaiku in a traditional Machiya style house. You'll get to choose the colour and pattern of the flower you'd like to create and a craftsman will teach you how to assemble it by hand. Keep what you make as a souvenir to show off to your family and friends back home!
