WHAT TO EXPECT
After picking you up in our coach and arriving at the town of Ardales, we will start with the northern access, through the Pantano del Chorro area, where we can also enjoy the wonderful landscape of the conjunction of the Turón, Guadalhorce and Guadalteba rivers, with their respective swamps.
The tour is divided into three parts: the northern footbridge Gaitanejo, Valle del Hoyo, and the southern footbridge Gran Gaitan. We will finish in the area of the Poblado del Chorro, where the Guided Tour will end.
The total route of the Caminito del Rey is 7.7 km, of which 4.8 km. accesses and 2.9 kms. of catwalks.
Regarding the walkways (the best known part), the distance between the entrance to the exit is 2.9 km, divided between 1.5 km of walkways and 1.4 km. forest path or trail.
The estimated time to complete the complete route (section of the door from one footbridge to the other, plus forest trails or tracks to get to / from the area) is about 3 hours.
Visitors must bear in mind that to reach the accesses of the walkways you must travel a considerable distance as well as the slope of the same.
