What to Expect

On this tour, you'll get to experience Hawaii's magical waterfalls! The tour kicks off with a fun off-road drive to an exclusive trailhead. Once you arrive, you'll follow a guide through a private nature reserve.

Along the way, your guide will share knowledge about your surroundings. Once at the waterfalls, you have time to jump in the water and cool off. Swim under one of the seven cascading waterfalls! After drying off, the tour will enjoy a private picnic lunch with views of sea cliffs and remote valleys at one of the island’s most iconic lookouts. Wander around after lunch through a restored ancient Hawaiian agricultural site or taste local ice cream in a historic town.

Hawaii is more than just another beautiful island. Hawaii is a place where myth and science intersect to reveal meaning and help us understand our world and universe. Hawaii is a place where the world’s two largest mountains rise from the sea to create deserts, rainforests, and subtropical permafrost. Hawaii is a place where native and introduced plants, animals, and people dynamically interact in one of nature’s greatest classrooms.

This Hawaiian waterfalls tour is perfect for those who want to visit and see stunning private waterfalls, tranquil streams, scenic coastlines, and rugged valleys. This adventure combines a journey to a special natural setting with fascinating information about the natural resources of Hawaii, including biology, geology, history, and Native Hawaiian culture.

This tour is approximately 7-8 hours. Travel time round-trip is 3.5 hours from Waikoloa resorts and 4 hours from HFT, Kona. You should be able to hike on uneven or rocky terrain, and you may encounter cool, wet, or muddy conditions.
