What to Expect
Are you the type of person who enjoys breathtaking natural landscapes? Are you ready for the beauty and energy of the Shipwreck Coast? If you answered yes, then you're ready for this awesome Great Ocean Road small group tour!
With an early departure time, this tour avoids the crowds and guarantees a stop at at least four attractions, including Loch Ard Gorge, Gibson Steps, The Razorback, and the Twelve Apostles.
You'll travel by minibus with a small group making this experience all the more magical. Bear in mind that you are going to see some of the most spectacular natural landscapes on the planet!
By heading inland early in the morning, the idea is to arrive at the attractions before all the crowds get there, with the first stop being the regional town of Colac. Here, you can stretch your legs and grab a cup of coffee before you set off to the 12 Apostles.
Here, you can make the most of these magnificent limestone formations' lookouts before the rush of other tourists, taking your time to marvel at the beauty of this one-of-a-kind natural wonder.
Hungry for more? A quick lunch stop in the lovely town of Apollo Bay will also give you the chance to take some amazing pictures on an enclosed beach, so be sure to pack the camera.
From here, a drive through the Great Otway National Park Rainforest will give you the chance to witness some of Australia's most amazing rainforest scenery, before heading back along the Great Ocean Road coastline.
Through Apollo Bay, your guide will share some interesting stories and facts about the city while on your way to the Kenneth River, where you will hopefully encounter some cute koalas and colourful parrots.
On your way back to the city, stop by the quaint-yet-chic coastal town of Lorne, to indulge in another epic beachfront view, before indulging your senses at the Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery, and arrive back in Melbourne around 7pm.
Departure Info:
You need to make your own way for pick up at 6:50am at the State Theatre on St Kilda Road. In case you prefer hotel pickup/drop off and a more spacious minibus, please have a look at the premium version of this same tour - or ask one of our travel experts!
