Frequently Asked Questions about Full Day Scooter Experience from Noosa
Do I have to wear a helmet?
Yes, unless you have a medical or religious reason that precludes you from doing so. Queensland Police may fine you $143 for non-compliance. If you misplace the helmet, The Operator will charge you $44 to replace it.
When can I ride?
During daylight hours only - sunrise to sunset. These hours change with the seasons, so just look up - if it's dark, you can't ride. The Operator ID checks all riders over the phone prior to your account being activated and your first ride starting.
What are the rules when I ride?
DO NOT SKID, RACE, STUNT OR TRICK RIDE, please avoid mud, sand and water, wear your helmet and no doubling allowed. Keep both hands on the handlebars, be aware of your surroundings, be considerate of others on the path, which means keep left, use your bell and give way to pedestrians always, and have your scooter back to a parking hub by sunset or it will turn into a pumpkin!
What happens if I damage my e-scooter?
If you damage your e-scooter or someone riding under your login does so, The Operator has the ability to deduct the relevant costs associated. Your credit card will be kept on file with the payment provider for this purpose.
How old do I have to be?
To have the app and ride alone you must be 21+. Adults may add up to three minors 12 years of age or older under their own login, and are responsible for those minors at all times, always riding together. Strictly one rider per scooter. Besides doubling being illegal, there is only one helmet per scooter so when a rider doubles and takes another helmet, that other scooter can't be used.
How fast do they go?
The e-scooters can travel up to 25km per hour on bike paths and local streets (50km/hr streets or lower) but the legal limit on pathways is only 12km/hr and fines apply for exceeding this limit.
