When is the best time of year to visit?
Between April and September the roads are open and you can access most destinations. The waterfall season in February and March is stunning, but you need to be flexible with your time as sometimes flooding causes road closures.
Should I be concerned about insects or wildlife?
Not concerned, but be aware. Don’t swim in saltwater rivers, check signs for crocodiles or stingers. Always walk with a torch at night, and shake out your shoes before you put them on if you’ve left them for a while.
