This weekend getaway from Mexico City combines the ancient and the contemporary for four days of fun, adventure, education and incredible experiences. On this tour, you will discover Mexico's famous mountains, waterfalls, cities, beaches, churches, museums and plenty more. You will be led by a local, experienced tour leader bilingual in Spanish and English. Enjoy both guided group experiences as well as some free time to enjoy the destinations at your own pace.
Highlights of this tour include a hike to La Malinche Volcano, the 6x highest summit in Mexico, a visit to Tlaxcala, the capital of the smallest Mexican state, a tour of Puebla, the city that features one of the best music and party scenes in Mexico, and a trek up to the Great Pyramid of Cholula, the world's largest pyramid by volume topped by the 16th-century Virgen de Los Remedios church.
Day 1: Mexico City
Bienvenidos a Ciudad de Mexico - the largest city in Latin America where ancient and modern coexist in harmony. The city is a world-class cultural hub that offers a huge variety of museums, galleries, and architectural gems, along with bustling nightlife and diverse gastronomic culture. Arrive at any time before meeting your group and trip leader at your hotel at 2 pm. After a short welcome meeting, go for a walking tour in the historic centre, followed by a guided visit to the National Anthropology Museum. In the evening, join an optional dinner and get-together in of the local restaurants/bars.

Day 2: Mexico City - Teotihuacan - La Malinche National Park
In the morning after breakfast, go to visit Teotihuacan (UNESCO) - a complex of awesome pyramids, set amid what was once Mesoamerica’s greatest city. After a tour around the area continue to La Malinche National Park. Check into your accommodation, eat lunch and take an optional hike to the summit. Then join for an optional dinner and get-together in a nearby restaurant in the evening.

Day 3: La Malinche National Park - Tlaxcala - Cholula - Puebla
In the morning after breakfast, go to Tlaxcala- the capital of Mexico’s smallest state, an unhurried and unself-conscious town with a compact colonial downtown defined by grand government buildings, imposing churches and a handsome central plaza. Take a walking tour around the historic center and enjoy a glass of refreshing pulque (an ancient Mexican beverage made from the fermented sap of the maguey). Then, we will go to Cholula, the oldest city in America, inhabited without interruption since its origins, where you can see The Great Pyramid of Cholula, the world's largest pyramid topped by the Virgen de Los Remedios church.
After a walking tour and an optional lunch in one of Cholula's restaurants, we will go to Puebla (UNESCO) - a vibrant capital of the same-named state that retains a fantastically well-preserved center, a stunning cathedral and a wealth of beautiful churches. After check-in and some rest at our accommodation, we will go out for an evening orientation tour around the historic center and an optional farewell dinner in one of the local restaurants.

Day 4: Puebla - Mexico City
