The tour starts on a sweet note, with Hawaii's favourite fried treat, Leonard’s Malasadas, before you continue on to a hidden gem that many drive past without even knowing it, Halona Blowhole Lookout with 360-degree views. On one side is the Halona blowhole, shooting out a gust of water with every pull of the tide, and on the other, an unbelievably stunning cove nicknamed “Eternity Beach”.
You can never get too many gorgeous views, so next, you visit the Makapu’u Lookout. Here you will enjoy the awe-inspiring views of the Oahu’s Windward coastline and shimmering turquoise waters. As you depart, take in the majestic Ko’olau Mountain Range.
Waimanalo’s Hawaiian Island Cafe is famously known for their Pastele Stew, among other local favorites. Enjoy samples of authentic Hawaiian food, before moving on to He'eia State Park, brimming with Oahu history and offers up good views of Kaneohe Bay, Heʻeia Fishpond, and the Ko’olau mountain range.
See how they harvest macadamia nuts and sample the island’s freshest Big Island coffee at Macadamia Nuts Farm. Next, see one of the island’s most iconic views at Kualoa Beach Park. Nicknamed “Chinaman’s Hat,” the famous Mokoli’i island lies just off the coast.
After the fun in the sun at this energy-filled stop – you guessed it – you'll be ready for more food! Served up will be Hawaiian Kahuku-style garlic shrimp at Fumi’s in Kahuku, the birthplace of this style of shrimp. Right nearby, you can pick up refreshing tropical fruits like mango or lilikoi (passion fruit) at the Kahuku Land Farm. All of the fruits sold at the farm are 100% organically grown.
Next stop is to see the “Honu,” or Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle! They often come ashore to sunbathe. In Hawaii, Honu are known to be the guardians and navigators of the sea. But connect with these gentle creatures from a distance, as they are protected.
Continue your journey onto the historic surf town of Hailewa. Perfect to stroll around, check out the shops and art galleries of this artistic community. After shopping, try a colorful, cooling dessert of rainbow Shave Ice.
Last but not least, visit Green World Coffee Farm, one of a few coffee farms on Oahu. Green World consists of 7 acres of land with approximately +3,000 arabica coffee trees and they produce coffee sourced from all of the Hawaiian Islands. Explore the coffee garden and learn exactly how coffee goes from the tree to cup!
