Yes, all children 6-16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian whilst climbing. (Children between 6-9 must have 1 adult to 1 child ratio and children between 10-16 can have 1 adult to 3 children ratio). Please note, children under the age of 6 will be unable to participate in the climb.

It&rsquo;s a journey of almost a kilometre up over the bridge&rsquo;s superstructure with a viewing platform 80m above the Brisbane River as it flows past the city heart.

The climb is completely safe &amp; secure. Each climber wears a safety belt harness attached via a lanyard to the bridge safety cable for the duration of the climb.

But there&rsquo;s more to it than just the climb. It&#39;s about connecting with the stories, culture, and spirit of a place the traditional custodians call Meeanjin. Every step you take is a step towards understanding, an opportunity to see Brisbane through the eyes of its First Peoples.

<h3>Indigenous Climb</h3>

The adventure begins at our Climb base camp beneath the Story Bridge. After a quick briefing, you&#39;ll ascend a spiral staircase to the start of our suspended walkway under the Bradfield Highway. Connected to our climb line, you&#39;ll walk to the Bridge&#39;s pylon, learning about the Story Bridge and Brisbane&#39;s history.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Warm up for the climb through the Eastern bridge arm, ascending over the Brisbane River. Celebrate on the summit platform, enjoying the 360-degree panoramic view. Continue exploring the bridge from a different angle, travelling halfway across the river before returning for a group photo and descending back to base camp.&nbsp;

Each climb includes a group photograph, with individual photos available for purchase.

	<li>Minimum age is 6 years old and required length over 110cm height</li>
	<li>Child means a person aged from 6 to 16 years inclusive</li>
	<li>All children 6-16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian whilst climbing. (Children between 6-9 must have 1 adult to 1 child ratio and children between 10-16 can have 1 adult to 3 children ratio). Please note, children under the age of 6 will be unable to participate in the climb.</li>
	<li>Please note there is a weight restriction of a maximum of 130KG for the Bridge Climb. This is due to health and safety restrictions on the equipment used.</li>
	<li>We are an all-weather activity so we do climb in the rain</li>
	<li>Climbs are only rescheduled in the event of electrical storms or hail and this decision is made after your 20-minute safety induction when you are about to step onto the bridge so your attendance will be required no matter what the weather is like.</li>
	<li>Climbers who fail to turn up for their climb will forfeit their booking and will not be entitled to a reschedule to refund</li>
	<li>No loose articles such as cameras, GoPro, mobile phones or jewellery are permitted on the bridge</li>
	<li>Secure lockers are provided for your personal items</li>
	<li>All climbers will be required to take a breathalyser test and register under 0.05%. Climbers over 0.05% will forfeit their climb.</li>
	<li>Please wear comfortable clothes that are not bulky eg shorts and a T-shirt as you will wear your climb suit over the top of your clothes</li>
	<li>If the weather is cool or wet we do provide a wind-resistant jacket with a hood.</li>
	<li>Wear fully enclosed lace-up shoes with a rubber sole eg sneakers, joggers etc</li>
	<li>Pregnant ladies up to 20 weeks may participate in the Bridge Climb at their own risk but cannot participate in the Abseil Climb</li>
