Frequently Asked Questions
I've never done any skiing or snowboarding before. Will I be able to learn before heading out on the slopes?
Absolutely! There are a number of beginner-friendly slopes around the Snowy Mountains, and you can book a lesson with an experienced instructor who will teach you the basics.
You'll also have access to Thredbo's dedicated beginner's area where you can get to grips with your skis or snowboard and build your confidence before you head out on the slopes.
What else can I do apart from snow sports?
If skiing or snowboarding isn't really your thing, that's totally fine! Thredbo is filled with a number of lovely bars, restaurants, and more where you can enjoy a nice warm drink and relax surrounded by the beautiful snow.
What is the accommodation?
The shared room sleeps 8 people and includes a bathroom, heating, and kitchenette. Suitable for singles, groups of friends, or couples who don’t mind potentially sharing with other people.

The hotel complex has a sauna, games room, disco, bar, and restaurant with delicious homestyle food. It also has a shed with a wide variety of snow equipment for rent.
Where can I pre-purchase my lift pass?
You can either purchase your lift pass from Thredbo’s website or buy one in person on the day. Due to a possible risk of selling out, we recommend you purchase your pass online.
Passes can be arranged for one or multiple days.
Prices may vary according to the number of days purchased and time in advance.
Where does the bus depart from?
Buses depart on Friday evening from 812 George Street, Haymarket at 4 pm.
