If you have one day in Florence and you want to see everything you possibly can in the region, this is the perfect guided tour for you!
Meet your dedicated tour guide at the Santa Maria Novella Train Station at 7 am. From here, travel by train to our first stop of Pisa. Here you will learn about the city and how it became famous from your tour leader. Then you are free to explore the famous " Piazza de Miracoli" or field of miracles at your leisure. Access the Cathedral for free, and if you are feeling brave enough, you can climb the leaning tower of Pisa for nice views of the square from the top.
We then return to Florence, where you'll have some time off to get some food and rest before we head to the famous Chianti Wine Region. Now we travel less than an hour outside of Florence towards our first stop, a winery set inside a historic castle in the centre of the Chianti region. This region is known for stunning cypresses, olive trees, and vineyards. After a guided tour through the old cellars learning about the winemaking production, you will taste their delicious and famous wines. During the wine tasting, you will also try the renowned black rooster Chianti Classico Wine and the extra virgin olive oil on Yummy bruschetta.
After a short drive, we will reach our second winery, a Local Family Run Farm. Here you will learn that smaller wine producers make incredible wine too. This is an authentic experience where you will learn how the grapes and olives are picked by hand. You will have the opportunity to taste the result of the hard work of the wine-loving farmers. During the day, you will taste up to eight different types of wine, balsamic vinegar, and extra virgin olive oils.
We then head back to Florence, where we aim to have you back by 6:30pm.
