Day One: Arrival To Rome
Welcome to Italy! Check-in and meet your tour leader at5 pm.You will then head to an evening orientation walk of the Eternal city. You will see the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, and take in all the sights. We then head to a welcome dinner in a local restaurant to start appreciating the Italian cuisine and to get to know the other travellers!
Day Two: See The Sights
Meet the guide for an orientation walking tour through the stunning Roman streets. See sights such as the Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps, Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. The orientation walk ends at Vatican City. You will be free to spend the rest of the day to visit the St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museumsin complete freedom. Alternatively, join the optional 2-hour walking tour of the Vatican Museums including the Sistine Chapel with a licensed tour guide.
Day Three: Full Free Day In Rome
Entirely up to you, you can take the whole day to explore Rome in completefreedom, do some souvenir shopping or simply relax. Add extras to your booking with walking tours of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum to educate yourself about the gladiators and the Roman senate from a local.
Day Four: Pompeii and Sorrento
In the morning, travel by private bus towards the South of Italy.We first head to Pompeii where you will have the time to enter the site and admire the antique Roman settlements. We then, continue towards Sorrento, driving along the coast with spectacular views of the Vesuvio. After check-in, you will be taken for a walk around the city centre.
Day Five: Boat Trip to Capri Island
Start the day with a boat trip to Capri island. We will leave directly from our campsite at 8:30 am.Bring your bathers and a towel, because we have time to take a plunge! In Capri, you can explore the island, relax on the beach, take the chairlift up to the top ofMt. Solaroand visit the Blue Grotto. You also have the option to join the tour leader for a more insightful tour. Once back to the accommodation you will be free to spend the evening as you prefer.
Day Six: Positano And Amalfi Coast
Hop on a private bus to explore the Amalfi coast. We pass by the Galli Islands,the fishing villages of Praiano, Furore, and Positano. We will stop in Amalfi for 2 hours to taste the fresh "sfogliatella". We see the imposing Cathedraland relax at the beach with yummy arancini available. In the afternoon we will continue towardsPositano, the gem of the Amalfi coast.We stay for long enough to allow you to discover the town and its cascade of colourful houses at your own pace. You can go for a swim and have a bite on one of the local shops selling fresh local food.
Day Seven: Naples And Florence
Take a look at Naples, home of Italian cuisine. The tour guide will take you for an orientation walk and show you the including San Carlo theatre, Plebiscito square, Umberto I's gallery and lots more. We then head to Florence. Check in to the accommodation and meet your tour leader, on this walk you will see the famous gothic Cathedral, the Ponte Vecchioand end the tour in one of the busiest streets of Florence. We end up in the best apertivo place in town for a drink and some good food!
Day Eight: Chianti Region
We embark on a day trip to the Chianti Region.See the three famous villages of Tuscany; Siena, San Gimignano, and Monteriggioni. We head to local wineries to taste wine and olive oils, stop for some food and take in the rolling hills. We aim to be back in Florence by6.30pm, where you have free time.
Day Nine: Pisa and Cinque Terre
We wake up early for a whole day spent in Pisa and Cinque Terre. Here, you will see the most stunning villages in Italy. Famous for their natural beauty, attractive trails, spectacular coastline and sunny beaches, don't miss out. This tour includes a 2 hour stop at the famous leaning tower of Pisa. We'll be back in Florence at 8:30 pm. You have the evening to yourself.
Day Ten: Full Free Day In Florence
Take the day to do whatever you want in Florence. Live like a local and spend the day shopping at the local markets. You also have the option to head to museums and discover the city.Florence is home to great artists such as Michelangelo's "David" and Botticelli's "Birth of Venus."Take in the art and enjoy the beauty.
Day Eleven: Welcome To Venice
Head to Venice with the group! We check-in, and head down to town for an orientation walk of the city.You will see the Rialto Bridge, St. Mark's square, the Catherdral, and the Palazzo Ducale.The tour ends in St. Mark's squarewhere you will take the evening to ride in gondolas or see the local sights.
Day Twelve: Murano, Burano and Torcello
We begin with a free morning, and then in the afternoon, we take a boat tour to see the islands of Murano, Burano & Torcelloorganized by local suppliers. See the handicraftsand see the quality Murano glass and Burano lace being made first-hand. The evening is all yours to do what you please!
Day Thirteen: Goodbye Venice
The tour ends in Venice, but you are free to lingerafter check out, leaving your bags at the hotel,or we can help you organise your next steps. Make sure you inform us in advance about your travel plans to help you as much as possible.
