Join us for this must-see guided tour of Rome. This is the right tour for those who want to hit the ground running, see the historical sights, learn as much as they can about the Eternal City and take in the architecture along the way.
Meet your tour guide outside the Metro Stop Colosseo at 9:30 am. Our first stop is the Colosseum, where we stop to take photos and hear about the gladiators. We then head to the Forum, walking through to the Piazza Venezia and the well known Vittoriano. Making our way through the streets of Rome, we arrive at the tops of the Spanish Steps to see one of the most beautiful views of the Eternal City.
The sights only get more iconic from here. Next up is the Trevi Fountain, where your tour guide will show you how to throw a coin and make a wish. Then to the Piazza Navona where you'll learn all about Bernini, Rome's version of Michelangelo. We then see the Pantheon, which is a highlight of this tour for its history and architectural beauty.
Now we take a short break at one of Rome's best and oldest gelaterias. Then we head to the Castelo di Sant'Angelo. There, in the distance, see Saint Peter's Basilica, the biggest church in the world within the smallest country in the world.
After all that, you'll have time off to explore the Vatican and charge your batteries. You will then begin your tour of the Vatican Museums, with a local guide, who will tell you all the legends, history and interests of this enigmatic place. Best of all: you'll skip the line, giving you maximum time in the museum!
Notes:
