Surrounded by World Heritage Rainforest, the Rainforestation Nature Park in Kuranda offers an immersion into the natural beauty and culture of Tropical North Queensland. Wind your way through the beautiful Kuranda Range to experience the best of the park with a Big Nature Package, including all three of its attractions: the Koala & Wildlife Park, Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience and an Army Duck Rainforest Tour.
Visit the Koala & Wildlife Park to encounter a range of iconic Australian animals, including koalas, free-roaming kangaroos, the endangered Cassowary and Lumholtz’s Tree Kangaroo. Meet Ned and Kelly, the alpine dingoes and see Neville and Dennis, the only Tasmanian Devils in Cairns! Time your visit to enjoy a variety of Wildlife Presentations that are delivered throughout the day, including Crocodile Feeding, Dingo Enrichment and Feeding the Macropods.
Experience the tropical rainforest from a totally unique perspective aboard an amphibious WW2 Army Duck. During this 45-minute rainforest tour on land and water, your knowledgeable Duck Captain will identify and explain fascinating plants and wildlife before stopping at a tropical fruit orchard, which features over 60 different species of exotic tropical fruit trees.
Take part in the authentic and award-winning Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience, starting with the Pamagirri Dreamtime Walk. Learn how to throw a boomerang and watch spear-throwing and didgeridoo playing presentations, followed by the traditional Pamagirri Dance Performance in the rainforest Amphitheatre.
Army Duck Rainforest Tours are run daily on the hour between 10.00 am and 2.00 pm. The Pamagirri Dream Time Walk runs daily at 11.30 am or 12.30 pm. The Pamagirri Dance Show runs daily at 12.00 pm.
