Self-Driving: Hervey Bay is approximately 3 hours by car north of Brisbane, 2.5 hours north of Sunshine Coast and 1.5 hours north of Rainbow Beach. Check-in at the Mainland Reception in River Heads. On Google Maps, this will appear as 54 Ariadne St. After arriving at this location, a courtesy coach will provide transport to the ferry departure point, and you will arrive directly at Kingfisher Bay Resort and board the custom 4WD coach.

Based on K'gari's iconic 75 Mile Beach, K'gari Beach Resort offers a coastal paradise closer to lesser-known but equally spectacular spots, such as the hidden oasis of Lake Wabby. Tour accommodation includes recently renovated standard hotel rooms with tea and coffee-making facilities, a balcony or a patio. These rooms also come with ceiling fans to increase airflow; however, if you would like an air-conditioned room, please request an upgrade at the time of check-in. The resort offers many facilities for guest use, but the best place to unwind at the end of a tour day is at McKenzie's on 75 Bar & Restaurant. Delight in an evening at leisure and select a meal from the new à la carte menu.

The 4WD coaches have been specifically designed to navigate the sandy tracks and unique terrain found on K'gari. They are air-conditioned, have panoramic windows and are capable of carrying 40 passengers.

The tours generally depart rain, hail or shine, but in the event of extreme weather, tours can be cancelled. In this event, if you booked directly, refunds will be issued. If you booked through an agent, your refund will be determined by your booking agent.

At your time of booking, please select your preferred ferry crossing with departures at the following times, 9am, 1pm or 3.30pm.

The luggage allowance is 20kg per person which will be stored under the bus. You can have a carry on to hold on to.
