What to Expect
Experience the thrill of the Gold Coast's number 1 skydive with a beach landing!
Skydiving is known, for excellent reason, as life's ultimate thrill. It's an experience like no other. Amazingly, the buzz of free fall is an easy and safe experience, especially during a tandem skydiving adventure.
The beauty of tandem skydiving is that it requires none of the usual intensive skydiving training but offers 100 per cent of the mind-blowing 200km/hr open-air thrill. The feeling is often described as floating on a cushion of air as you hurtle 7,500 feet through the sky in 45 seconds.
Your experience begins on the ground, where you'll be suited up in skydiving gear, and your professional skydiving instructors will run through a few dives and practice skydiving exits. You'll also be taught the skydiving basics of canopy control and safe landing procedures. This safety briefing takes around 20 minutes.
Once you're confident with this skydiving knowledge, you'll be driven to Gold Coast airport just a 5-minute drive away, where you will board a Twin-engine Piper Chieftain aircraft or Cessna 182 ready for take off. Then, enjoy a 15-20-minute flight to an altitude of approximately 12,000 feet; along the way, enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Gold Coast's lush hinterland and golden coastline until you reach the "drop point". During winter months, keep an eye out for the migrating whales passing through.
Finally, after one more check, it's time to hop out and take the quick way down – straight onto the beach! When you exit the aircraft, you will free fall at speeds of up to 220km/h with the ocean directly below you. It's impossible to put the adrenaline-punching 45 seconds into words, but the feeling is supernatural!
The skydiving parachute is deployed at around 5,000 feet, offering an intensely serene experience and one of the world's most incredible views, perfect for reflecting on the high-adrenaline skydiving adventure you've just enjoyed. During the five-minute glide to earth, you'll be taught to control your direction and descent speed, and once you touch down, you'll be on a high for weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes absolutely. If you’re unsure, you can see the sample packages and chat with the friendly staff about the best option for you directly before your jump.
Yes, but you must wait 24 hours after your scuba dive before coming to skydive. You can scuba dive straight after your skydive though, so if you’d like to do both and are restricted on time, consider booking your skydive first.
It’s perfectly normal to be nervous. It’s not every day that you jump out of an aircraft. Enjoy the nerves; it’s all part of the experience. The staff are all highly experienced and will help you turn your nerves into the experience of a lifetime.
The age minimum for jumping in Australia is 16 years. Any person under 18 years needs a parent or legal guardian to accompany them to read and sign the indemnity form.
PLEASE NOTE: There is no upper age limit for skydiving; provided you are fit and healthy, you can go for a tandem skydive! It's recommended that tandem passengers over 60 years of age seek medical consent from a medical practitioner prior to making a booking. The oldest customer to date was 90 years of age!
Of course! Bring them to the office with you, and the staff will ensure they are there when you land.
Your arrival time is 15 minutes prior to the time you booked for your jump.
Unfortunately not. CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) regulations prevent loose articles from being taken up in the aircraft if the door is being opened mid-flight. However, the Operator does offer a full video and photo service for you to choose from.
You will land directly across from Wyndham Resort on beautiful Kirra beach, a 500m walk from the office and 5 minute drive from the Gold Coast Airport.
Skydiving is a weather-dependent activity and may be cancelled if the weather is unsuitable (windy or rainy). The Operator has a designated safety officer who will monitor the weather on the day, and you will only jump if it is entirely safe to do so.
If you are unable to jump on the day you have booked, The Operator will contact you and reschedule your booking for a day that suits you best. If you are unable to reschedule, they are happy to give you a full refund. (gift vouchers aren’t refundable).
As weather conditions are difficult to predict and can change frequently, your jump may be put on hold at any time before you exit the aircraft.
Many people are scared of heights; this is normal! However, jumping out of an aircraft is different to standing on the top of a tall building and looking over the edge. Even the Chief Instructor has a terrible fear of heights, and he has completed almost 12,000 skydives.
Make sure you bring a pair of flat-soled running shoes and wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing. If you are jumping during winter, bring a warm jumper as it can get cold up there. You can wear shorts and a T-shirt if you are jumping during summer. No singlets or vests, please.
Skydiving is a half-day experience. If you're driving yourself to the office and everything is running perfectly on time (which is difficult when dealing with an International airport and air traffic control you will need approximately 2-4 hours for the whole experience.
If you have a group booking, the duration will depend on how many people will be jumping.
The experience is also very dependent on the weather, so some delays may occur due to weather conditions beyond The Operator's control.
Yes. The standard weight limit is 95kg. Each tandem passenger must be weighed at the office prior to jumping. This weight limit is enforced for safety reasons. If you’re over 95kg and under 110kg, The Operator would still love to take you skydiving. However, there are a few conditions that will impact your jump, such as wind direction and strength.
