WHAT TO EXPECT
Are you the type of person who enjoys breathtaking natural landscapes? Are you ready for the beauty and energy of the Shipwreck coast? If you answered yes, then you're ready for this awesome Great Ocean Road small group tour!
This tour avoids the crowds and guarantees at least 4 attractions including London Bridge, Loch Ard Gorge, The Razorback, and the Twelve Apostles. You'll travel by minibus with a small group (max 11 people). Bear in mind that you are going to see some of the most spectacular natural landscapes on the planet! The tour starts early in order to avoid the crowds at each attraction. You'll be picked up at 7 am at St Paul's Cathedral in Melbourne.
This Great Ocean Road Boutique Tour does a reverse (and smart!) itinerary, meaning the morning is spent driving through the countryside in order to arrive at the attractions earlier. Then it circles back along the Great Ocean Road, slowly working your way back to Melbourne. The first stop is Colac, a rural town, where you'll get a chance to stretch and buy a coffee (at your own expense). From there, the tour continues to the first attraction at the Twelve Apostles. The tour stops for lunch stop (at your own expense) in Port Campbell, a charming, small town.
Continuing down the Great Ocean Road coastline, the tour will drive through Apollo Bay, where our guide will share interesting stories and facts about the town. Next, you'll stop at Kenneth River where you may spot cute koalas and colorful parrots. Make sure you have your camera handy! Continuing on the road trip, the tour arrives at another spot to see kangaroos. A family of these marsupials love to hang around in the afternoon!
And finally, the last stop is in Lorne, a chic coastal town. Here you'll find beachfront views, cockatoos, and out-of-this-world ice cream before heading back to Melbourne. During the tour, a guide will provide interesting information about the places, the history, funny facts, in a friendly and informal atmosphere. Be sure to ask questions! The expected arrival time back to Melbourne is around 7 pm.
