WHAT TO EXPECT

Fly on the iconic Melbourne Star, the Southern Hemisphere’s only giant observation wheel. Whether you choose to ride during the day or night, you’ll feel on top of the world as the Melbourne Star glides on its gentle arc through the sky. With its striking scale and innovative design, Melbourne Star is an iconic feature of Melbourne’s waterfront precinct, the Docklands. An LED display transforms the wheel into a giant, glittering kaleidoscope of colour at night, with over five million different combinations that can be synchronised with music, giving you a complete sensory experience unlike any other.

The Melbourne Star has 21 spacious, temperature-controlled cabins that provide an unparalleled, 360-degree view of the city. You can safely walk around the cabin and take in the sights from all angles. There's also audio commentary that provides a brief introduction to the history of the city and the significance of the landmarks below. Melbourne Star’s fully enclosed cabins are large enough to allow up to 20 guests to walk comfortably around without the feeling of cabin movement or vibration.

Once you take off, safely watch the constantly changing drama of the busy port, scenic gardens, bustling streets, and bright lights of the city below. Melbourne Star brings the whole city of Melbourne together — you'll the sophisticated, the grungy, and the downright quirky aspects in spectacular views reaching up to 40 kilometres from Melbourne’s CBD and Port Phillip through to Mount Macedon and the Dandenong Ranges in the distance

Fly in the daytime or evening, then return within 14 days to complete your Melbourne Star experience with a second flight. Plus, delights to enjoy during your Melbourne Star experience include your choice of beverage and a digital photo pass to ensure you relive the memories for years to come.
