Why Do We Love This

This tour fully immerses you in the Tsukiji market scene. You'll enjoy tastings of seafood, tea and desserts, but what we love is how this trip gives you a glimpse into traditional Japanese life!

What to Expect

Explore the largest fish market in the world! All the smells, sights and scales of Tsukiji are waiting.

Start with a coffee and tour at one of Tokyo’s best artisanal coffee spots, then spend the morning touring the inner and outer markets of Tsukiji. You'll get to see and experience Japanese market life from an insider’s perspective.

Explore some hidden gems and get a taste for different specialities of the area. Then, once you've worked up an appetite, it's time for breakfast!
Head to where local fish vendors eat their morning meal and enjoy your own unique Tsukiji breakfast. Fresh and cooked seafood is on the menu, and it's all delicious!

Afterwards, spend some time wandering the inner wholesale market and see some of the seafood specialists that have made Tsukiji world famous. There are over 700 vendors here, and all of them are experts in different seafood types.
Once you've met some of the locals and learnt about market life, you'll have the chance to stop off at a local shrine for a blessing.

Next, enjoy a tasting break and then head to the bustling outer market to try even more delicious food! Here you'll learn about famous Tsukiji dishes and the history and future of the market community. There's also the chance to purchase a Japanese cooking knife so you can remember your day.

Finally, end your tour on a sweet note with a tasty traditional snack.

This is a half-day tour, beginning at 8:45 am and ending at 12:00 pm. Meeting point is Turret Coffee Shop, 2 Chome-12-6 Tsukiji, Chuo-ku, Tokyo 104-0045.
